3 Travel Resolutions We Plan On Keeping in 2016

Okay, so we’re a few weeks into the New Year … how many of you have already given up on your resolutions? Lol, don’t worry. We’re not judging. And we have a small confession. We also have a few resolutions we made for 2016 – and they’re all travel-related! Check them out below.

#1 Take a Spontaneous Trip

While 2 Girls Who Travel is known for its well-planned trips and destinations (due to scheduling of the exclusive interviews we bring you), we’d like to enjoy more spontaneity for 2016. You know, just book a cheap flight, pack a backpack and go! It may be an area we haven’t researched prior or maybe haven’t even heard of … but that will make for better exploration. And the insight we’ll bring back will be invaluable!

#2 Step Outside of Our Comfort Zone

This may mean different things to different people, depending on what you consider your comfort zone. For our purposes, it means embracing adventure, opting to stay in a stranger’s home rather than a hotel or traveling to a destination completely off the grid. Whatever the adventure is, we’re down!

#3 Splurge a Little

Everybody loves tips on how to shave money off of their vacation, but you don’t always have to go the budget-friendly route. As a matter of fact, it’s good to go all out every once in a while. That’s what vacations are for! This year, we may decide to stay at an all-inclusive resort, order only top-shelf liquor or cop a luxury rental.

Do you have any travel resolutions? We’d love to hear about them. Drop them in the comments below!
