By 2 Girls Who Travel had the opportunity to cover the red carpet for the launch party of The Musicians’ Wives Saturday night in Houston. You know you’re official when the mayor of Houston makes the proclamation that May 28 is Musicians’ Wives Day!
These six beautiful women (founder Brandi Jackson, Diane Tribitt, Greta Williams, Shelia Moore-Piper, Kanita Turner and Sonya Early) support their musician husbands, but they’re far more than just wives. They embody a sisterhood – dynamic women who’ve made it their mission to empower and support women who are connected to the entertainment industry. They do this through philanthropic efforts of partnering with and supporting organizations that have the same mission.
The launch party event, hosted by singer-songwriter Leela James and Majic 102.1’s KG Smooth, was fun, festive and most importantly, indicative of the phrase, “when you show love, you get love back!”
