Like thousands of others, we watched “The Bobby Brown Story,” which was co-produced by Bobby Brown and aired in September on BET. Since then, we’ve been counting down the days for this Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike (RBRM) reunion tour stop in Houston.
In case you aren’t aware, RBRM is essentially the members of Bell Biv DeVoe and Bobby Brown!
The RBRM Tour did not disappoint. Fans, including 2 Girls Who Travel, packed into the Smart Financial Centre to see the legends and we all got our 80s and 90s R&B life back. There was just enough pelvic thrusting to keep us entertained – gotta love Bobby!
The show kicked off with girl group 702 (*begins singing “Where My Girls At…”), then Ginuwine hit the stage.
Now, we do have to give a disclaimer. We missed 702 and Ginuwine… but we were able to vibe with all the rest of the artists! We’re talking Dru Hill – who recently added members from the group Playa – Joe and then the finale of RBRM.

After Dru Hill and Joe took us down memory lane with their hits, there was a short intermission and then our boys hit the stage.
The RBRM setlist had hit songs from New Edition, Bobby Brown’s solo career, which included favorites “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Roni” and Bell Biv Devoe (BBD) chart-toppers “Poison” and “Do Me.”
If you missed it, the tour still has dates – it’s definitely worth it. You never know when you might see these guys together again!
