Happy Holidays! 2 Girls Who Travel love this time of year – the weather, holiday decorations, vacations, delicious food and of course holiday parties with family and friends.
Because it is the season of giving, we want to give our readers a gift. So we decided to share some of our favorite Instagram friends with you! These are Instagram folks that you should follow for travel, food and lifestyle inspiration. Enjoy!
@kaelanisays – She’s a food and travel editor with @usatoday @10Best. We heard her speak at a travel conference this year and had to follow her page. Definite travel envy!
@oneikatraveller – This travel “OG” was a travel writer before it was cool to be a travel writer. She is also a host on @travelchannel and an international speaker. She’s truly been all over the world.
@visitlakecharles – We recently visited Lake Charles (check out our post from that visit) and had the best time! Southwest Louisiana has great food, fun and people. Check out their page.
@houstonfoodbloggercollective – We don’t want you to drool all over your phone, so visit this site at your own risk. These bloggers eat the best food! (Sidenote: We’re part of the collective.)
@blackartinamerica_ – We love food and travel, but art also holds a special place in our hearts. This page shows some stunning works by various artists around the country. Also if you’re looking to start collecting or already a serious collector, this is a great place to see what’s available in the black art world.
@blackrestaurantweek – There is Black Restaurant Week in Houston (#houbrw), Atlanta (#atlbrw), Dallas (#dfwbrw), New Orleans (#nolabrw), Philadelphia (#phillybrw) and Los Angeles (#labrw). Be sure to follow to stay up-to-date on all the events!
@jazzfest – If you haven’t been to @jazzfest, make plans to go! They have had the greats grace their stage… Aretha Franklin, Aaron Neville, Anita Baker, Kermit Ruffins, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Jimmy Buffett and the list goes on! The vendors, food and music make this outdoor festival a must-visit. Pro-tip: Try the crawfish monica and thank us later.
@terranceosborne – He is one of our favorite New Orleans artists. He tells the story of New Orleans with vibrant colors and a true love for the city. He has also created several Jazz & Heritage Festival (@jazzfest) posters. (Sidenote: Kim has Osborne’s 2012 Jazz Fest @TromboneShorty poster.)
@loveworkrepeat – A digital magazine that provides encouragement and sage advice on marriage, family, life, business and of course travel. (Sidenote: We’re contributors… be sure to follow and visit their site to see our travel articles.)
@blackbloggerclique – A group of like-minded Houston bloggers who want to help market your business. These ladies have their own individual followings, but have come together as experts on food, travel, lifestyle and events. (Sidenote: We’re members, here. Get into this melanin.)
