Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone!
As we close out 2018 and get ready to embark on a new year, we’d like to take a quick stroll down memory lane and highlight our travels this year.
No matter what life throws our way, we always make sure to stay true to ourselves and visit other places – whether it’s domestically or internationally. In short, travel makes us happy!
So check out our travel recap for 2018!
Playa del Carmen, Mexico
As has become customary for us, we travel to Mexico at least once every year. This time, we decided to visit the Yucatan side and enjoy Playa del Carmen. From enjoying margaritas by the beach to getting soaked on a buggy tour through the jungle, Playa del Carmen owes us nothing!
Atlanta, Georgia
Taking a quick break from the flights, Val and her cousin went old school on this adventure and took a road trip to Atlanta. This U.S. city has a ton to do and these ladies were determined to fit in as much as possible!
New Orleans, Louisiana
If you know us, you know the affinity we have for this city. So of course we had to come back for their Tricentennial! Yes, this famed city celebrated 300 years in 2018. Check out our pics from our latest visit.
Niagara Falls
Before a travel conference in New York State, we spent a couple days in Niagara Falls. We’d always drooled over the beautiful photos of the Falls, so we were super excited to experience them for ourselves! We stayed on the U.S. side and ventured to the Canada side, so we had a chance to see both.
New Jersey & NYC
And of course being the adventurers we are, we decided to spend some time in New York City after our travel conference. We didn’t have much time, but we made it to some of the main spots and even navigated the NYC subway system.
Lake Charles, Louisiana
This wonderful getaway hosted by our friends at the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau was the perfect trip to wrap up our 2018 travels. It was a long weekend of delicious food, lots of fun and socializing with other travel writers like ourselves!
That’s a wrap, guys! Can’t wait for you to see what we have planned for 2019. As a matter of fact, where would you like to see us go next year? Drop a location in the comments!
