With the new year, comes new restaurant openings and we love to see it. 2 Girls Who Travel were invited to attend a private tasting of The Greasy Spoon’s newest location in Pearland on Friday, just a day ahead of the restaurant’s soft opening to the public.
The location offers ample parking and inside the restaurant is a stage for entertainment of all sorts, something owner Max Bozeman II said will be a regular occurrence at The Greasy Spoon. Guests were able to sample menu items, enjoy alcoholic beverages and listen to the vocals of Shawn Sounds and Aja Domonique. It’s obvious a lot of thought was put into the design of the restaurant and we lived for the decor.

That smothered oxtail and boudin eggroll really touched our spirit — so good! After stuffing our faces, we had a chance to speak with Max about his future plans for The Greasy Spoon as well as the hottest menu items. Find excerpts below!
2GWT: Where do you envision taking The Greasy Spoon next?
MB: We have a lot of people in Katy reaching out, Cypress and even Sugar Land. I think the Katy/Cypress area will be next. I’ll feel good about this [Pearland] location in probably three months and as soon as I feel good about this location, I’m going to lock down the next location. I’m opening the Pearland location on my birthday [Jan. 15], so who knows? I might just start opening a new restaurant every year on my birthday.
2GWT: What are some must-order menu items at The Greasy Spoon?
MB: Smothered oxtails, smoked oxtails, lamb chops and the boss seafood stack. These items are available at all three of our locations.
