It’s back! Houston Black Restaurant Week (HOUBRW) is back for its third annual culinary showcase with a flurry of excitement and anticipation. From April 16 – April 29, 2018, Houstonians have the opportunity to experience some of the city’s best African-American, African and Caribbean cuisines.
Houston Black Restaurant week, established in the spring of 2016, was a proven success with over $50,000 of revenue generated in the Houston economy through black-owned restaurants. This success brought expansion to five other cities in 2018: Philadelphia, New Orleans, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Oakland.
2 Girls Who Travel recently attended the Nosh culinary showcase presented by Verizon and in partnership with Buffalo Soldiers Museum. Nosh had live cooking demonstrations with all-star chefs Shakti Baum, Tiffani Janelle and Vicky V; and tastings and competitions with some of Houston’s top caterers and executive chefs.

Check out our gallery of photos from Nosh.
