Happy Black History Month!
This post will be short and sweet, but won’t skimp on spotlighting some of the amazing food coming out of good ole Houston — and of course, we’ll be focusing on black-owned restaurants. Tis the season!
And here’s a little tip for you Houstonians: Houston Black Restaurant Week is a great time to try out some black-owned restaurants.
Okay, so you’re down and you want to try some black-owned hot spots, but don’t know where to start…don’t worry about it. We got you covered.
Houston’s own Black Blogger Cliqueย has compiled a list of black-owned restaurants in Houston AND is giving you a chance to win gift cards to some of these places by participating in a fun game. Head on over to their Instagram (link here) for official rules.
So without further ado, here are a few of our favorite Houston black-owned restaurants we’ve visited, in no particular order. Pssst…we hear some of them are on the Black Blogger Clique’s list, too!
