If you’re reading this, congratulations on making it just about all the way through 2019!
Per usual, we’re using this time to get some much-needed rest and reflect back on the amazing places we traveled to this year. We swear, every year it just gets better!
Now you know you’re part of the 2 Girls Who Travel family, so come on with us as we venture down memory lane for a minute!
Los Angeles
Back in February, Val visited the City of Angels – better known as Los Angeles, California. During her quick trip, she learned just how spread out the city is. She stayed in an Airbnb in the Hollywood Hills and visited Hollywood and South Central LA. We’re definitely making plans to see more of the West Coast – and we haven’t ruled out another trip to LA!

If you plan on visiting Los Angeles for the first time, check out this blog.
Cuba
We had been toying with the idea of visiting Cuba for a while, so we finally made it happen in April! We researched extensively to make sure we got our visa in time and also so we could maximize our time there. We stayed a couple nights in the popular city of Havana and enjoyed the second half of our trip in the small fishing village of Cojimar.

If you want to visit Cuba and aren’t quite sure what to do there, we’ve taken the guesswork out of it for you. Check out this blog.
New Orleans
Of course we paid a visit to one of our favorite cities. You can’t go wrong in NOLA – good food, drinks and music. Every. Time.
We’ve compiled a short list of places to visit in NOLA. Find that blog here. And for an even more detailed list, check out our Ultimate Travel Guide to New Orleans.
Tulum, Mexico
As you already know, 2 Girls Who Travel go to Mexico every year. It’s become a tradition. This year, we visited the town of Tulum – which has easily become the “it” spot for bloggers. So many great photo ops and while it can get pricey by the beach, we chose to stay near the jungle. It was great.

Got plans to travel to Tulum? We’ve got you covered, from where to stay, what to do and where to eat.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
NOLA wasn’t our only Louisiana stop this year. We were invited down to participate in Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Homecoming Weekend and boy was it lit! We ate, drank and partied with LSU alum like we actually went there.

Antigua, Guatemala
What a fun trip this turned out to be…we have been spreading the word about Guatemala since we returned. We loved exploring Antigua and being adventurous by trying to hike a volcano! There’s also enough good food, art and friendly vibes to go around. Did we mention we stayed at the cutest Airbnb in Antigua?

If we’ve piqued your interest about Guatemala, and we hope we have, check out our travel guide to Antigua.
Shanghai, China
Val traveled to Shanghai earlier this month for work and was able to spend a little bit of time exploring and of course, sampling the cuisine. Be sure to check out this blog to see where she ate and what she recommends!
